Arkady Balagan’s chess days are over following a decisive checkmate from the producer Showcase. Despite a fair popularity (as far as Canadian ratings are concerned), Showcase decided to slash Endgame. The campaign mounted by the fans in a bid to save the show only pulled a promise from Showcase to air the rest of season 1 of the Endgame TV series soon.

The charming and witty characters will surely be missed and we can only hope to have Arkady Balagan’s story brutally revealed at the end.

In other news, Lost Girl has been renewed and has resumed once more. The controversial tv series’ ratings continue to plummet going below those that got Stargate Universe cancelled, but somehow it has survived to fight another season.
