Romania in razboi!

These Easter Eggs are tested in Firefox 3.5.6 – the output varies between Firefox versions!

1. Type “about:robots” in the address bar. Output:

Welcome Humans!

We have come to visit you in peace and with goodwill

*             Robots may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

*             Robots have seen things you people wouldn’t believe.

*             Robots are Your Plastic Pal Who’s Fun To Be With.

*             Robots have shiny metal posteriors which should not be bitten.

And they have a plan.

Also hitting the “try again” button will lead to it disappearing if you are persistent.

2. Type “about:mozilla” in the address bar. Output:

Mammon slept. And the beast reborn spread over the earth and its numbers grew legion. And they proclaimed the times and sacrificed crops unto the fire, with the cunning of foxes. And they built a new world in their own image as promised by the sacred words, and spoke of the beast with their children. Mammon awoke, and lo! it was naught but a follower.

(10th Edition)

2. Type “about:mozilla” in the address bar. Output:

Crash

It’s the sense of touch. In any real city, you walk, you know? You brush past people, people bump into you. In L.A., nobody touches you. We’re always behind this metal and glass. I think we miss that touch so much, that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something.

There’s something inherently true about this, something which describes the rush of everyday life. There’s no time to stop, no time to feel and barely time to think. So little, that it’s easier to use prejudice and stereotypes in dismissing the people around rather than giving the individual the benefit of the doubt. Quite a shame … really … and unfair, terribly unfair. We are definitely not living in the century of the open mind … the human mind has been steadily opening until the Renaissance and until a bit after … reaching its peak and then closing in steadily until now … and will probably continue to close until the next implosion.

Totusi acum avem o idee vaga privind intentiile candidatilor. continue reading…

Between Mac and the PC

I guess it takes a hand-on approach in order to realize where the money goes when you notice the price of a Macbook (or Macbook Pro). When you’re just studying prices and configurations on some shop’s web page, you are definitely missing something about the product you’re considering. It has taken me several years to realize that a computer’s performance isn’t given by the performance of its components, but by the way in which those components work together to assure the productivity of one’s working style. continue reading…
